After a free, prior phone consultation and we have decided to work together, we will meet for 75 minutes to discuss the history and present experience of your difficulties. We will explore what your goals are, and what your history of engaging with support and care has looked like. We will begin to develop our rapport and connected and work to create together what your path with me can look like. I will also in this process develop a diagnostic picture if you are choosing to work with your health insurance company for reimbursement of costs. We will also work to give you something to walk away with during this session that will give you a sense of increased coping and or movement towards your goals. All sessions occur via telehealth and are secure and encrypted.
Ongoing treatment will look like what you need. We will collaboratively tailor your care to what you need and also use tools and techniques that best address your challenges and meet your goals. We will also take into consideration your learning and processing styles and any neuro-spiciness you connect and or contend with.
Your care and our relationship will not be cookie cutter, and my goal is that our relationship and collaborative work will be deep, meaningful, and exciting in its discoveries and creation of change and growth.
I will pull from a variety of schools of thought with a core grounding in a deep curiosity connected to psychodynamics. Our goal will be to empower and strengthen you to feel able to cope and thrive more fully. We may pull from toolboxes connected to CBT/DBT, trauma processing techniques, parts work and internal family systems, empowerment work, and just good old practical problem solving and common sense support. My hope in working with you will be to develop a strong and safe relationship that allows honesty, challenge, and deep validation, support, and care.
